Ginger our therapy dog
I am a Dixie dog that was looking for a home. Dr Kate adopted me through Labs 4 Rescue from a shelter in Tennessee. I take my work as a Therapy Dog very seriously here having received my certification through Bright Spot Therapy Dogs. It is very important that I greet every single person who comes to the office and I really appreciate getting belly rubs. Do let the staff know if you prefer not to be greeted as I don’t take that personally either. It’s a hard job but, hey, someone has to do it! Dr Kate says it helps soothe people and lower blood pressures. In return I get rewarded handsomely with long walks, doggie treats and affection from my extended family here at Atkinson Family Practice. Everyone wants to know what breed I am ( a yellow lab mix ? with what) and how old I am (so rude to ask this of a lady!). Come visit me anytime—if I am not at the office it may be Dr Kate’s day off or I may be at the (ugh!) groomer.
